"FRIENDS OF SIGMA"
The Philo Affiliate were established in 1943 when Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. officially organized the affiliate group and gave them the name "Philo", meaning "friend" in Latin. The Philo Affiliates have dedicated countless hours in community service across the Southeast and worldwide. They work closely with our Graduate chapters in supporting the national service projects of our organization.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Membership is by invitation only and qualification in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization. Be a woman of good character, possess poise, self-control, interests, outstanding social qualities, and expertise in some particular field. Candidates cannot have a four-year college degree. Must be interested in promoting programs of the Sorority.
